I have something rather special to offer you with this review of a unique flavor from from a unique company.
Cinnapear from Smoque Vapors http://www.smoque.net/products/e-liquid-cinnapear
I do love a good Cinnamon based vape and just from the description alone I was very curious to give it a try.
This flavor was supplied to me at no charge for the purpose of review by SMOQUE VAPOR (Thank you Jared).
The description from their website is as follows:
The complexly savory taste of fresh pears followed by the dark notes of cinnamon spice creates a paring of flavors whose symmetry is uniquely pleasing to the palate. A delicious combination that lends itself readily as an E-Smoke flavor, Cinnapear is a natural choice for a day-in-day out E-Liquid.
Prices are as follows. 5ml @ $3.89, 15ml @ $10.99, 30ml @ 18.99 and 120ml @ 54.99. Sometimes they do have specials so you might just want to sign up for their newsletter to make sure you don't miss them.
Inside were well filled 30ml bottles with the kind of plastic screw on caps you might find on bottles of cough syrup. Each bottle was individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then sealed into an individual Ziploc bag.Instead of your standard paper label, these are a transparent label almost like a “water decal” and you can easily read with the SMOQUE logo, name of the flavor, level of nicotine and the born on date written in by hand and “Made In America”.The liquid inside a slightly cloudy orange color. And when shaken, you can see some small air bubbles being formed that linger for just a couple of moments before floating to the top an disappearing from sight. And when it comes to the good old “sniff test” my nose is telling me that it is indeed a cinnamon based brew with a touch of some kind of sweet fruit. And something I can only decribe as slightly medicinal? Perhaps a drop of alcohol in the mix? Best I can do as the odor is quite distinctive and mysterious at the same time..Now for the actual testSMOQUE normally creates their E-Liquids in a mix of 60% PG and 40%VG with your choice of 0, 6, 12, 18 or 24mg of nicotine. But if you ask them, they will mix as you prefer it. So I received my preference of 60/40 with 18mg of nicotine.
Anyway, in this case, I fill up my Kanger ProTank (after all it is a cinnamon based liquid and very likely a tank cracker) with a 2.5 ohm Evod head, courtesy of Rick of Vapor Alley who is most kindly supporting my reviews and attach it to my Vamo as usual and start out at 3.4v and work my way up to about 4.2v and back down to 3.7v. By the way, for me at least, much over 4.0v starts to deliver a slightly “burned” taste to the cinnamon aspect. But this is just me and you might just have other opinions so don't take that as written in stone.
The first thing I notice is very pounced cinnamon flavor And of course some of the “heat' that you come to expect from this flavor base. But not so much the heat as what I would term “earthiness” from this particular spice. The kind that coats your tongue in a very nice way, I am also picking up some very sweet and fresh notes from the pear aspect. Can't positively identify it as pear at this point but it seems to be acting like some kind of chaperon to take the edge off of the pronounced cinnamon flavor.
Throat hit is excellent with nice clouds of slightly scented cinnamon vapor being produced.
A Week Later
I am back with it and still at 3.7v, which seems to be my sweet spot for this. The amount of vapor is still most respectable and the throat hit seems to have increased just a bit. And so has the sweet aspect.
Now the pear flavor is distinct and subdued at the same time. I can now positively identify it as pear! The cinnamon flavor is still in control but the pear aspect is also demanding attention! Steeping is an absolut must for this creation as it does need the time to develop and mature. Between the two flavors they seem to have achieved a very nice balance and are acting in concert to achieve something greater and the best way I can describe it, the mixture has now matured. And matured in a most wonderful fashion indeed!
To conclude, I will leave you with this piece of advice. As always, take it or leave it (but in this case I hope you take it!). If you tend to enjoy cinnamon based E-Liquids as I do, you really need consider trying at least a 5ml sample sized bottle.
Now a little bit about SMOQUE
